The Aistiphi Business League is a community of businesses and corporate foundations that consistently invest back in communities where members do business or operate. As part of their Sustainability or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments, members invest significant resources every year to fight poverty, improve the quality of life in Ghana’s communities, strengthen our institutions and protect the environment.
Membership is open to businesses and corporate foundations, which take their CSR Philanthropy and community service commitments seriously and honor these commitments as a core element of their corporate essence and brand identity.
Once we have validated your information, we will email you your organization’s certificate of membership indicating the official date of membership commencement. At this point you can access all member services, including submitting entries of your CSR Philanthropy initiatives for publication in the Aistiphi Gazette.
AISTIPHI categorizes corporate organizations into five Member Classes based on the annual CSR Philanthropy or Sustainability profile of businesses. To estimate your organization’s CSR Philanthropy profile, we look at the size (i.e. budget), scope (focus area diversity), reach (i.e. impact), and rigor (i.e. coordination/innovation/alignment) of your organization’s annual CSR Philanthropy program or initiatives. Our classification officially groups businesses into cohorts of like peers based solely on common features of members’ CSR Program. The classification is not meant to pick winners. It neither represents our judgements about a business organization’s generosity or social responsibility. Each Member Class is inherently unique and has full autonomous value in itself. We advise caution in comparing businesses in different Member Classes.
Crystal Pride Class is the ‘commence class‘ of the Aistiphi Business League. Members demonstrate at a fundamental level that they take their CSR Philanthropy and social investment commitments seriously. Crystal Pride Members undertake modest corporate philanthropy initiatives and they give back meaningfully to communities and institutions every year. Subscription is open – any registered business is eligible to register.
Grand Rise is the ‘elevate class‘ of the Aistiphi Business League. Members establish a more active presence in Ghana’s Philanthropy Space. Grand Rise Members have fledgling CSR Philanthropy programs, which are deliberative in targeting resources to few focus areas where members hope to make the most impact.
Star Royale is the ‘lead class‘ of the Aistiphi Business League. Members have well-defined and resourced annual CSR Philanthropy programs. Star Royale Members are deliberative and strategic in targeting significant corporate social investments to institutions and communities in need in multiple sectors and geographies.
Legacy Gold is the ‘distinction class‘ of the Aistiphi Business League. Members run sophisticated, high-volume and bold-impact social investment programs that are national and multi-sectoral in scope. Legacy Gold Members work inovatively through collaborations with NGOs, government agencies and international bodies and align corporate priorities and resources to augment broader efforts to attain higher-level national development goals, including the SDGs.
Kente Prestige is the ‘executive class‘ of the Aistiphi Business League®. Members operate at the highest level of corporate social investment and community service. Kente Prestige Members exceed the distinction standards of Legacy Gold Members by supporting national efforts to encourage youth community service across all levels of Ghana’s educational system.
The Aistiphi Business League is an CSR brand marker with implications for strategic brand marketing. The statement of your membership of the Aistiphi Business League communicates instantly to the public your company’s values and proud identity as a generous and socially responsible business brand. This provides opportunities for marketing brand CSR and social profile.
Members have a choice in distinguishing their CSR Philanthropy and goodwill brand from those of their corporate peers in an already crowded CSR Philanthropy field. We provide five membership levels for that purpose: Crystal Pride, Grand Rise, Star Royale, Legacy Gold and Kente Prestige. In increasing order, these classes reflect greater volume, scope, reach, depth and rigor of members’ CSR Philanthropy programs. As a member, you have the option to distinguish your brand by leveraging a higher membership level that refits your annual CSR Philanthropy profile.
The traditional media tucks reports of your social investments in obscure corners, often in back pages or as side stories to major news. As a member of the Aistiphi Business League, our National CSR Registry will verify, review and publish your CSR initiatives in the Aistiphi Gazette, the official online magazine and go-to place for CSR and corporate giving in Ghana. Given that the Aistiphi Gazette is an online resource, your entries are immediately available and shareable in myriad social networks. In addition, we preserve all your records as permanent, searchable official records for present and future generations.
The Aistiphi Business League attracts elite businesses like yours so you can be sure that your corporate peers, including your competitors will be on board too. That may be reason enough to not sit this out. Besides, your membership of the League also makes you a member of Our Commonwealth of Goodwill. This larger tent includes all major players in Ghana’s Philanthropy Space, e.g., international partners, NGOs, religious bodies, clubs, associations, alumni, citizens abroad, celebrities and schools. This larger tent provides unparalleled community presence capital for your brand and makes you part of a much larger cause.
As a member of the Aistiphi Business League, we archive all your CSR philanthropy initiatives reported to us in your public profile that is accessible online. This enables your company to hold in one place – on an authoritative third-party platform – all your CSR initiatives accomplished over time. Anyone can lookup your portfolio of accomplishments with one click.
If your company is committing so much resources to social interventions, your company may want to get a handle on how your important accomplishments are reported to the public. Members take back control of the public messaging of their social interventions by submitting entries to Aistiphi for vetting, approval and real time publishing in the Aistiphi Gazette.
Member profiles are listed in the online member directory. Each member profile holds archives of all of a member’s social interventions to date that have been submitted for publication in the Aistiphi Gazette.
Members have exclusive opportunity to make an input into the production of the National Corporate Philanthropy Report every year. The report documents and tracks movements in CSR Philanthropy, corporate giving and community service in Ghana. You will also present at corporate philanthropy seminars that examine emergent issues and matters arising from annual reports.
As a generous corporate citizen, you have often wondered if the resources you gave to a school or orphanage actually got to the target beneficiaries or, whether the expensive equipment or infrastructure you donated would be maintained diligently. We help members realize good returns on their generosity by instituting measures like ‘Beneficiary Due Diligence Audits’ to keep recipients of corporate charity accountable for proper stewardship of gifted corporate resources.
We created the Aistiphi Community Exchange to make it easier for members to identify high need areas. The Aistiphi exchange is a hub where institutions and communities post critical infrastructure, equipment, technology, service and other resource needs. Members could draw from the pool of needs to inform their decisions about areas to channel corporate philanthropic resources.
Members are eligible to participate in key Aistiphi events all year round. Some notable events include the Aistiphi Jamboree, Executive Ball and Annual Awards.
You will ensure that information about your membership profile is current and up to date. This includes your current Aistiphi Liaison’s name, designation, email and mobile number. It also includes your company’s Aistiphi Business Member Class and other public profile information. It is very important that you update information on your Aistiphi Liaison as needed.
You have the sole responsibility to submit entries about your CSR Philanthropy initiatives to Aistiphi for real time publication in the Aistiphi Gazette. Aistiphi will not contact you at any time to request submissions. Rules and policies for submitting Aistiphi Gazette entries can be found here.
You will participate in the production of the annual Corporate Philanthropy Report. This includes completing surveys, providing and verifying information, reviewing and approving drafts, and participating in report and report-related seminars.
You will participate in coordinated marketing of the Aistiphi Business League Brand. This includes, but is not limited to, sharing numbers, narratives, videos, photos and other multimedia reports of your company’s CSR Philanthropy program. It also includes appearing on media platforms to share your company’s insights, experiences and accomplishments in philanthropy.
You will participate in and contribute to Business Legacy Projects, which are executed every year or every two years, as determined by members. The Business Legacy Project is a signature CSR philanthropic contribution from Corporate Ghana acting as a whole. Aistiphi does not control Business Legacy Projects. They are entirely member driven.
