The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA-Ghana) donated 1200 tree seedlings to the University of Ghana in support of the Vice-Chancellor’s Green Project. The donation was made to commemorate the Agency’s National Community Day.

Country Director of ADRA-Ghana Dr. William Yaw K. Brown presented the seedlings to the University and commended it for the Green Project Initiative. He said ADRA-Ghana was delighted to be part of the Vice-Chancellor’s Green Project and looked forward to partnering with students to plant more trees on campus.

Dr. Benjamin. D. Ofori, Co-chair of the Vice Chancellor’s Green Project received the seedlings on behalf of the University. As part of the presentation event, the University of Ghana Chapter of the Ghana National Association of Adventist Students (GNAAS-UG) planted some of the seedlings in the “N-Block” and “New N-Block.”

Dr. Ofori thanked ADRA-Ghana and GNAAS-UG for their support for the Vice-Chancellor’s vision of greening the campus. He seized the opportunity to announce the student-led Plastic Recycling Project and implored the students to show similar support when the programme is finally rolled out.
