ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP IN OUR TIME

The changing climate is already exacting its toll upon us. Decisive action must be global in scope. But we have our part to play. Within the scope of our control, we have done poorly in protecting our environmental assets. Ghana already lost 75 percent of its forest cover since independence. That should be of grave concern for everyone. Illegal mining (‘galamsey’) continues to tragically ravage our water resources and devastate our land. Everyone must be concerned…

Climate change is one of the defining challenges of our times. Now more than ever, we need to make a concerted effort to tackle this issue.

Within the scope of our control, we have done poorly in protecting our environmental assets. Ghana already lost 75 percent of its forest cover since independence.  OUR SCORECARD ON ENVIRONMENT

It is incumbent upon us to be good stewards of our environment and protect wildlife so we can pass them on to the next generation. The challenge is huge. Decisive policy direction and collaboration are needed. We can all play our part in this collective effort. Aistiphi documents in this section of the Aistiphi Gazette, how our Commonwealth of Goodwill™ is living up to its commitments.

Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.
