Over the years, we have made substantial improvements in healthcare delivery. The vital improvements, notwithstanding, serious deficits remain in medical infrastructure, equipment, service delivery, reach and access. Today, much of the philanthropic and community service outreach by businesses, NGOs and civic organizations go to the health sector. This is encouraging. The level of need is great. So must be our collective resolve to address it.
