Deputy CEO of Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) Alberta Afia Akoto reached out to the Korle Bu Maternity Ward ahead of her 40th birthday

She donated GH¢40,000 worth of 40 hampers, lactogen milk, 40 sets of baby diapers and wipes and other essential supplies. In addition Ms. Akoto paid the medical bills of 40 nursing mothers who could not pay their medical bills after delivery.

Ms. Akoto also paid the hospital bills of a six-year-old with a hole in spine who needed surgery.

Known for her generosity, Ms Afia Akoto also paid the medical bills of 40 nursing mothers detained at the Ward due to their inability to foot their bills after delivery. Again, she paid the medical bills of a six-year-old with a hole in his spine needing surgery.

General Secretary of the NPP John Boadu and General Manager for Angel TV Sally A. Mensah witnessed the presentation.
