AngloGold Ashanti gave six computers and four air conditioners to the Department of Legal Services of the Ghana Armed Forces.

Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs at AngloGold Ashanti, Mrs. Juliet Manteaw-Kutin, said AngloGold Ashanti responded swiftly to a request made by the military to show the company’s appreciation for the support received over the years. Mrs. Manteaw-Kutin pledged AngloGold Ashanti’s commitment to its stakeholders, especially those in the mining community.

Maj. General Thomas Oppong Peprah, Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters of the Ghana Armed Forces, received the gift. He said the donated equipment was crucial for the department’s expansion and the attendant need to augment its computers and air conditioners.

Colonel B. Amuah-Boakye, Director General of the Department of Legal Services, also commended AngloGold Ashanti for its quick response to the service’s needs. Col. Amuah-Boakye said such a response incentivizes the Armed Forces to keep up its continued engagement with the company.
