ASA Savings & Loans Limited provided a GH₵10,000 worth scholarship package for 20 bright students of selected primary and junior high schools in the Lapaz area of Accra.

The beneficiary breakdown was as follows: primary school students – 5; junior high school students – 15.

Managing Director of ASA Savings and Loans Mr. Mohammed Aourongjeb announced that the novel scholarship will finance the education of 20 beneficiaries up to the tertiary level in any program of study of their choice.

CEO of ASA International Mr. Dirk Brouwer explained that the scholarship package was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility. Mr. Brouwer explained that the company’s business in the community will not be complete without empowering people through education, which is the key to success.

Chief Operating Officer of ASA International, Mohammed E. Haque reported that the company increased its budget for community support operations from US$35,000 to US$75,000.
