A delegation of 13 students and two instructors from Austin College volunteered at the FOCOS Orthopedic Hospital. The delegation was on a three-week mission to meet new people, acquire new skills, gain experience and teach children on admission at the hospital basic reading and writing skills.

The delegation of student volunteers also donated $2000 to the hospital to support its charitable work. This was after the students witnessed at first hand what the hospital does in providing surgeries of pediatric patients with musculoskeletal deformities.

CEO of FOCOS Hospital Prof. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei commended the students for their kind gesture. He explained that FOCOS believed in giving back to society and that was why FOCUS appreciated the efforts of all  volunteers who traveled from far and near to make a difference in the lives of patients.

The students also thanked the management and staff of the hospital for their warm reception during their 3 weeks stay at the hospital.
