Turkish nonprofit Cansuyu commissioned a hand-fitted pump borehole facility for 69 Special Airborne Force (ABF)  at Bawah Barracks.

The facility will clean and safe potable water for school children in the catchment and for personnel of the Medical Reception Station.

Country Director of Cansuyu, Sait A. Koyli said the borehole facility was the first of four planned to be constructed by Cansuyu in the Barracks.

Mr. Koyli noted that Tamale would end up having about 160 boreholes out of about 500 to be constructed across the country.

Maj. Kwesi Adum-Atta received the borehole facility on behalf of ABF and commented on the facility’s capacity to serve school children and personnel of the MRS by providing easy access to clean drinking water.

Maj. Adum-Atta thanked Cansuyu on behalf of the General Officer Commanding the Northern Command Brig. Gen. Francis Ofori, Commanding Officer, ABF, Lt. Col. Antwi Darkwa and  personnel of 6 Garrison for the life-saving intervention.
