Caring Volunteers Network (CAVNET) donated 3,000 reading supplies worth GH¢10,000 to Guo D.A. Junior High and Wa Model Primary and Junior High in Wa West District and Wa Municipality respectively.

The donation was done with support from the African Library Project.

Executive Director of CAVNET Mr. Adil Issah said CAVNET’s mandate said the was donated was meant to promote reading and improve reading skills among students in the two districts.

Mr. Issah expressed concern about NACVET’s research that showed that most students fail exams because they are unable to read and understand questions during exams.

Mr. Issah urged headteachers to ensure that student had access to the donated books.

Mr. Gunikuu V. Bernard and Ms. Azara Salifu of the respective beneficiary schools thanked CAVENET and Mr. Issah for their kindness. Both gave the assurance that the reading supplies would be make available for the benefit of students.
