Damco Ghana and Germany are sponsoring the transport and handling of a TEU full of medical supplies and equipment for a midwives clinic in Have, Ghana. Instead of donating money for charity the team agreed that the by sponsoring this container, we do what we are good in: By taking over the logistics part of the project, we channel our help directly where needed, not only money-wise, but by sharing our knowledge.
Due to the personal relationship we got in touch with a German mid-wife association, collecting healthcare goods for a birthing clinic in Have, Ghana.
The a 40’HC container was stuffed in Cologne on 16th September 2014 and will be loaded on Eleonora Maersk in Rotterdam on 22nd September.
In the Port of Tema, the team will need to unload the ambulance for customs regulations and Container and ambulance will continue their journey to Have, which is about 4 hours up to the North-East of Accra.
We at Damco are incredibly proud of our repeated involvement as we know what difference these supplies will make to the community in Have.
