Dannex Ayrton Starwin Ltd gave Kaneshie Polyclinic GHS100,000 worth of ace masks, Veronica buckets, alcohol-based hand sanitizers and gloves. Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Dannex Ayrton Starwin Mr. Kwasi Yirenkyi said the donated critical supplies were the company’s contribution to support the fight against the novel Coronavirus. Mr. Yirenkyi remarked that frontline workers needed protection as they led the fight against the disease and spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Dannex Ayrton Starwin is also a member of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association and has previously contributed critical supplies to the association, which collected and donated them to the Ministry of Health and other healthcare institutions. The gift to the Kaneshie Polyclinic follows President’s Akufo-Addo’s appeal to the pharmaceutical industry to support government in fighting the disease.

The outbreak of the novel Coronavirus in thas led to a partial lockdown in Accra, Tema, Kasoa and Kumasi. At the time of recording this entry in the Aistiphi Gazette, there were 641 confirmed cases of the disease, 83 recoveries and 8 deaths.
