DRA Ghana Ltd presented bursaries to three bright students at the College of Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). The bursary will cover costs of academic facility user fees, accommodation and books for the entire duration of recipients’ programme of study at the university.
Beneficiaries were selected from the civil engineering, mechanical and electrical departments of the College of Engineering.
Bursary students will be provided industrial attachment opportunities when school is on recess. They will also be matched with mentors to guide them in their studies, especially in practical aspects of their school work.
Further, students will also have the opportunity to train in the engineering culture of DRA Ghana in preparation for employment. However, they will be at liberty to take their talents elsewhere if they so decide.
Country Manager of DRA Ghana Ltd Mr. Augustine A. Okyere said the bursaries were intended to help build the human resource capacity needed in the engineering field by supporting bright students who needed financial support to complete programs in engineering.
DRA is an engineering consultancy firm in Ghana that has its headquarters in South Africa.
