Employees of Hollard Ghana donated sanitary items to support new mothers at the Trust Mother and Child Hospital in Accra. The gift package included anti-bacterial liquid soaps, hand sanitizers, disposable facemasks, medical gloves, hand-washing stations, detergents, disinfectants, toiletries, paper towels, diapers, and bottled water. The donation was part of the Hollard Ghana Volunteer Activity, an employee-driven initiative designed to give back to the community.

Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at Hollard Ghana Mrs. Cynthia Ofori-Dwumfuo said the Hollard Ghana was proud of its employees (called Hollardites) for selflessly raising funds to purchase the donated supplies. Mrs. Ofori-Dwumfuo described the support as the Hollardites’ “little gesture of showing appreciation to our mothers for their diverse contributions to the nation.” She hoped that the supplies provided would help address some needs of the hospital, beneficiary mothers and their newborn babies.

“It is our nature to do well by doing good and so, giving to a Mother and Child unit is one of our numerous ways of showing care and putting smiles on the faces of mothers… As an unconventional insurance company, we have a duty, to treat everyone with care and dignity. This aligns with our purpose, to enable better futures through every available touchpoint, like supporting caregivers.”
