Businessman Mr. Eric Ansong, also known as ‘Japan Burger,’ marked his 51st birthday anniversary with a gift to seniors at Kwahu-Aduamoah in the Eastern Region and people living with leprosy at the Weija Leprosarium in Accra. The gift package included GHS10,000 worth of rice, cooking oil, Milo chocoate drink, canned fish, biscuits, drinking water and toiletries. The gift to the Weija Leprosarium was the the 21st successive donation by Mr. Ansong. At the giving event, Mr. Ansong remarked that individuals living with leprosy were just as human as anyone else in Ghana, and deserved to be treated with dignity and take good care of because they were vulnerable.

A representative of Ghana’s Lepers Aid Committee received donated supplies on behalf of beneficiaries and appealed to other benevolent individuals and organizations to come to the help of the Weija Leprosarium. The representative expressed gratitude to Mr. Ansong for generously giving to support the socially vulnerable over the years.
