Ernest Chemists Ltd gave medication supplies to Kwahu Government Hospital at Atibie in the Eastern Region.

The medications included anti-hypertensives, antibiotics, pain relievers, anti-diabetics, disinfectants, infusions and other supplies.

Making the presentation, Marketing Manager of Ernest Chemists Mr. Richard A. Twumasi said the gift originated from CEO, Mr. Ernest B. Sampong’s decision to support the hospital and to help alleviate some of the resource constraints it was experiencing.

Mr. Twumasi noted that the company’s outreach reflected its slogan of providing quality and affordable medicines and its commitment to support the socially vulnerable.

Medical Superintendent of Kwahu Government Hospital Dr. Arko Akoto-Ampaw expressed the gratitude of the hospital. Dr. Akoto-Ampaw said the gift would be address the needs of patients who could not afford to pay for medication. He also noted that proceeds from sale of the medicines would help in running the hospital.

Dr. Akoto-Ampaw added that such outreaches were motivating for staff and that they brought timely relief to patients who may have financial challenges in paying for medications.
