FBNBank Ghana Ltd donated an GH¢20,000 to support and effort to fight against Polio in Ghana by Rotary Ghana, the Ghana National Polio Plus Committee and selected Rotary Clubs in Ghana’s Ashanti Region. The donation will enable Rotary and its partners in Ghana roll out a polio immunization campaign for infants and toddlers.

In remarks made at an event to mark International Polio Day in Kumasi, Managing Director of FBNBank Ghana Mr. Victor Yaw Asante underlined the bank’s commitment to promote the health and wellbeing of children. Mr. Asante said FBNBank Ghana found it important to collaborate with with Rotary International to tackle head-on, and eradicate Polio in Ghana and beyond. He was optimistic that support provided to the polio fight would help ensure that the gains achieved over the past years were sustained.’

Even though Africa has now been declared polio free, there is still work to do to ensure that polio stays out. FBNBank Ghana commended Rotary and its partners for the significant work done to help make Africa polio free. The statement underscored the need for all benevolent entities to join in the fight against Polio.
