First Sky Group gave a cheque for GH¢1 million along with donated construction materials to support the National Cathedral project. Materials donated included  4,000 bags of cement, 500 metric tonnes of chippings and 50 metric tonnes of iron rods.

Chairman of First Sky Group Mr. Eric S. Kutortse made the presentation at the company’s 15th annual thanksgiving anniversary. The gift was received by the project’s overseer, Dr. Paul Opoku-Mensah in Accra.

Mr Kutortse praised the project as a laudable initiative that will help advance national unity.

In March 2017, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo cut the sod for the construction of the national cathedral in Accra to serve as a national non-denominational Christian worship centre for the country.
