First Sky Group supported the 5th Volta Trade and Investment Fair with a gift of GHS100,000 and an insurance package of GHS20 million provided by Serene Insurance (a subsidiary of the Group, according to Mr. Kutortse will also provide an insurance cover to the tune of GH¢20 million for all participants of the Fair. to cover for all prospective participants of the fair billed to take place November 15-28, 2021. To be held under the theme ‘Promoting Sustainable Trade and Investment in the Volta Region,’ the two-week fair will focus on tourism, agribusiness and ICT investment potentials of Ghana’s Volta Region.


Leadership Statement

Founder and Chairman of First Sky Group Mr. Eric Seddy Kutortse said First Sky Group came on board to support the initiative because of the fair’s potential to open-up the Volta Region to development and attract investment to key sectors.

“Not only am I an indigene of the Volta Region, but more importantly the First Sky Group runs most of its businesses from the region; and as such, we deem it fit and proper to support this laudable program,” he said.

Mr. Kutortse commended Volta Regional Minister Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa, the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) and other fair organizers for putting the spotlight on progress of the Volta Region. He asked the organisers to sell the region’s investment potentials in order to create more employment for young people in the region.

Organizers expect the fair to bring together visitors and patrons from business, politics and entertainment and from natives resident abroad. Scheduled activities include forums, business seminars and tourism trips to several attractions across the region.

Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa expressed gratitude for the support and made a passionate appeal to other businesses and corporate entities to support the fair especially businesses owned by Voltarians.

“We are appealing to businesses, particularly those operating in the region, to kindly support this laudable initiative; particularly Voltarian businessmen. We want to open up the region for more investment, and we can only do this in partnership with corporate Ghana and the private sector.”

Dr. Letsa acknowledged the commitment of First Sky Group to developing the Volta Region and noted that the First Sky Group had become the biggest donor to the upcoming fair. “We are very grateful to First Sky for the massive support. First Sky has become the biggest sponsor of the fair and we are very proud of them,” he said.


The 4th Edition of the Volta Trade and Investment Fair, held in 2020, had little impact due to effects of the pandemic. The 5th edition is being taken to a level higher with key partners in the private sector and key brand ambassadors from the media.
