Fueltrade Ltd donated Veronica buckets, bedsheets, gloves, sanitizers, soap dispensers and other critical supplies worth GHS100,000 to Ridge Hospital and Princess Marie-Louise Children’s Hospital in Accra. The gift was made against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic spreading with 204 confirmed infections and five deaths.

Director of New Business and External Markets at Fueltrade Ltd Mr. Kwabena Agyei-Boahene said the it was a helping curb the spread of the virus was a major part of the Fueltrade’s CSR commitments. Mr. Agyei-Boahene hoped the donated supplies would boost the work of frontline service providers in fighting the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Medical Director of Ridge Hospital Dr. Emmanuel Srofenyoh descibed the donated supplies as being highly valuable for the fight against the pandemic. Dr. Srofenyoh noted that while the hospital received a number of donations, the healthcare providers go through them quickly since they are disposable and must be discarded after use.
