GCB Bank gave 10 desktop computers and accessories to Benkum Senior High School in Akuapem North.

The gift was in response to an appeal by management of the school for computers to equip its newly built ICT laboratory.

Management of the school described GCB’s intervention as timely and appropriate because all computers for used for teaching had broken down and adversely affected teaching and learning of ICT.

Corporate and Brand Communications Manager of GCB Bank Mr. Emmanuel Kwarteng said the education of children is children’s education in its corporate social interventions.

Mr. Kwarteng thanked management of the school and tasked them to put the computers and accessories to their best use, ensure proper maintenance and allow the children access to them for their studies and not leave them to sit there as decorations.

Headmistress of the School Ms. Philomena Beddu expressed gratitude to the Management of GCB Bank for the support.

Witnesses at the presentation event included Akropong Akwapim Branch Manager of GCB Mr. Mireku Brobbey and Vice-Chairman of Benkum Old Students’ Association (BOSA) Mr. Tahiru Salihu.
