The Ghanaian Doctors and Dentists Association UK (GDDA UK) donated PPE and supplies worth GHS52, 500 to LEKMA and Yendi Municipal Hospitals. The package of PPE and supplies included KN95 nose masks, disposable nose masks, examination gloves, surgical gowns, infrared thermometers, head-Covers, gummy boot, shoe Covers and hand sanitizers. In addition, GDDA-UK gave Ledzokuku Constituency GHS7,000 worth of Veronica Buckets, soap, hand sanitizers and paper towels.

The package of PPE and supplies was the contribution of the Ghanaian Doctors and Dentists Association UK to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in Ghana. President of the Ghanaian Doctors and Dentists Association UK Dr. Wiliam Kedjanyi said the association’s members were responding to the COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana and were motivated by the desire to assist frontline workers in the fight in Ghana. Dr. Kedjanyi was confident that the gift package would complement government’s efforts in dealing with COVID-19.

Medical Director of LEKMA Hospital  received the gift package for LEKMA and Yendi Hospitals and thanked GDDA UK for the generous assistance. The donation was made by President GDDA UK in the presence of Deputy Minister for Health, Dr. Benard Oboe-Boye .
