Ghacem Cement Foundation, the CSR arm of Ghacem Limited, donated 13,600 bags of cement to educational and health institutions in underserved communities in the northern sector of GHACEM’S operations in Ghana, i.e. Northern, North East, Savannah, Upper East, Upper West, Bono East, Bono, Ahafo and Ashanti Regions. These annual donations provide critical support for the development of educational and health infrastructure. The donation was the last batch of two scheduled donations of a total of 30,200 bags of cement, which the governing council of Ghacem Cement Foundation approved for 2021.

Managing Director of Ghacem Mr. Stefano Gallini said Ghacem was delighted to lend support towards infrastructural development in deprived communities. Mr. Galini announced the company’s plan to build a new US$100 million factory in Kumasi to serve northern Ghana reflected Ghacem’s strong commitment to invest in Ghana.

Chairman of Ghacem Cement Foundation Ehunabobrim Prah Agyensaim VI described the foundation as a truly benevolent program that contributed immensely to the development of health and educational infrastructure in Ghana’s underserved communities. Nana Prah Agyensaim VI said beneficiaries of the foundation’s initiative were partners who were supporting Ghacem to contribute their quota towards national development. He urged beneficiaries to spread the word about the generous support provided by the foundation.

  • Najat Foundation School
  • Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Zuarungu etc.

In September 2021, the foundation donated 15,400 bags of cement to selected health and educational institutions in the company’s southern sector of operation in Ghana, i.e., Central, Western, Western North, Volta, Oti, Eastern and Greater Accra Region. Since its founding, the foundation has given out a total of 600,000 bags of cement valued at GH¢27 million.

Mr. Benny Fiifi Ashun, Marketing and Public Relations Manager of Ghacem and Head of the Ghacem Cement Foundation Secretariat announced the opening of the cement application for the year 2021/2022. There are two pathways to apply. Prospective applicants may apply for assistance to rehabilitate an existing infrastructure or they may apply for support to enable further development of new infrastructures that have already been built to the lintel level.
