The Ghana Bar Association donated GHS 30,000 worth nose masks, thermometer guns, Veronica backets, hand sanitizers, paper towel and other essential supplies to the Ghana Judicial Service in support of broader efforts to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus in Ghana. President of the Ghana Bar Association
Mr. Anthony Forson observed that COVID-19 had come to stay, and considering that the Judicial Service played a key role in the delivery and administration of justice in Ghana, it was important to support the service’s fight against the spread of COVID-19.
Chief Justice Anin Yeboah received the gift package and expressed appreciation for the association’s thoughtfulness and generosity. Chief Justice Yeboah explained that it was difficult for the judiciary to receive donations because of potential conflict of interest issues. He was, however, confident that it was safe to receive the gift from the Ghana Bar Association.
