The 1999 Year Group of Ghana Senior High School (GHANASS) gave eight trash bins worth GH¢2,000 to their alma mater in Koforidua. The 1999 Year Group also held a special Career Guidance and Mentorship session for final year students in partnership with Passionate Africa Leadership Institute (PALI). Alumni from various professions shared information on their personal experiences and relevant career navigation pathways.

The alumni outreach was made on the occasion of the 1999 Alumni’s 20th anniversary of graduating from GHANASS. The donation of bins by the alumni was intended to enable GHANASS to maintain its high standard and reputation as being of of the cleanest high schools in the Eastern Region

President of the 1999 Year Group Mr. Elvis Nyarko Anipah presented the bins to the school and described it as a token the old students’ appreciation to GHANASS for grooming them into responsible adults. He pledged the group’s commitment to make themselves available to support their alma mater.

Headmaster of Ghana Senior High School Mr. Jacob Afful expressed gratitude to the 1999 Year Group of GHANASS. Mr. Afful said old students of GHANASS had been very supportive of the school and asked the school’s alumni to keep it up.
