GNPC Foundation provided a package of sanitary equipment and supplies to the Central Regional Health Directorate of the Ghana Health Service to support the coronavirus fight. The package included:
- 150 Veronica buckets with stands
- 840 bin bags
- 1000 nose masks
- 1500 pieces of liquid soap
- 2000 pieces of hand sanitisers
- Paper towels and others
Executive Director of GNPC Foundation Dr. Dominic Eduah reaffirmed GNPC’s commitment to supporting public health and safety campaigns. Dr. Eduah also noted that GNPC Foundation was committed to join in the collective effort to stem the spread of the covid-19 virus and protect people from the risk of infection.
Central Regional Minister Mr. Kwamena Duncan received the items on behalf of the people of the Central Region and expressed gratitude to GNPC Foundation for coming to the help of the region at a critical point where the region is executing measures to keep the Region COVID19-free. Central Regional Director of Health Dr. Akosua Owusu Sarpong gave the assurance that equipment and supplies will be distributed fairly across the region following needs assessment of hospitals, markets and other public spaces.
Witnesses at the presentation event included Deputy Regional Minister of Central Region Mr. Thomas Agyei Baffour and the Paramount Chief of Elmina, Nana Kodwo Conduah VI.
