Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), working through its CSR arm GNPC Foundation, gave Takoradi Technical University (TTU) GHS344,991 to support staff training and upgrading.

Board Chairman of GNPC Mr. Freddie Blay explained that GNPC had approved a number of supports for institutions and that TTU stood to benefit from any opportunity considering that the university was in the oil enclave.

“We are ready to help and be partners in development for the betterment of the economy and the country at large.”

Dr. Dominic Eduah, Executive Director of GNPC Foundation, noted that GNPC was “here to impact lives through supporting education and training. Dr. Eduah said GNPC had awarded 5,852 scholarships to students across Ghana since 2017.

GNPC is currently supporting some 30 educational institutions across Ghana. GNPC continues to show its commitment to TTU by supporting 395 students of TTU with scholarships (7% of the total student population), Dr. Eduah added.
