Ghana Oil Company Ltd (GOIL) joined in commemorating Eid al-Fitr 2021, the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, with the donation of a package of grocery supplies to the office the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu. The donation included 20 bags of rice, 15 gallons of cooking oil, 15 cartons of canned tomato paste, 20 cartons of soft drinks, 40 cases of bottled water and 50 bags of sachet water.

In a good will message from the Group CEO and Managing Director of GOIL Mr. Kwame Osei-Prempeh, which was delivered by Public Relations Manager of GOIL Mr. Robert Kyere, Mr. Osei-Prempeh wished the Chief Imam and the Muslim community in Ghana well during the 30-day fast. The message recognized the contribution of the Muslim community to Ghana development and expressed solidarity with them in the 30-day spiritual journey. The statement recognized the donation as being consistent with the GOIL’s support for a good cause.

The gift package was received by Alhaji Latif, PRO at the Office of the Chief Imam, Spokesperson for the Chief Imam, Sheikh Armiyawo Shaibu and other officers of the Office of the Chief Imam. The Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Sharubutu thanked GOIL for the kind support and prayed for the continued success of the company and its employees.
