As part of its 20th Anniversary celebrations, Happy Kids School in the Greater Accra Region, over the weekend organized a Blood Donation exercise.

The exercise which started at 10am attracted huge array of donors including Staff and parents of the school children. The exercise was capped with fun games.

About four hundred (400) kids engaged themselves in activities such as lime and spoon, playing cards, table tennis, sack race, ludo, musical chairs, football matches, tug of peace, draughts, board games, volleyball, etc.

According to the school’s authorities, they were overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response of the public towards the blood donation exercise. Several people from all walks of life thronged the venue of the programme very early in the morning to donate blood while on their way to work. Others also stayed behind as volunteers to assist the medical team with their work.

The donors were initially taken through some routine medical checks before they were allowed to donate.

The Chief Executive Officer of Happy Kids School, Ms Jemima Nartey, revealed there was no better way for the school to show its love for Ghanaians than to share the blood of their staff with Ghanaians.
