Health Evolution and Lifestyle Empowerment Hub – HELEH Africa Foundation donated GHS10,000 to the COVID-19 National Trust Fund. Global President of HELEH Africa Foundation Dr. Benedicta Ohene-Manu said the donation to the Trust Fund was consistent with the objectives of HELEH Africa in undertaking social and humanitarian interventions that improve the health and living standards of Africans. Dr. Ohene-Manu said the team at HELEH Africa Foundation was committed to providing needed support to government and other stakeholders to ensure that the fight the pandemic becomes successful.

HELEH Africa Foundation has outlined a number of interventions to support the COVID-19 fight. Beyond the foundation’s donation to the Trust Fund, the foundation announced plans to implement a special corporate social media (SCED) initiative  to mobilize the business and social sectors to fight COVI-19-related stigmatization, enhance public awareness and celebrate the achievement and sacrifices of frontline workers.

Archbishop Justice Ofei Akrofi, a member of the board of trustees for COVID-19 National Trust Fund, received the donated funds and thanked HELEH Africa Foundation for the generous support. Archbishop Akrofi also commended HELEH Africa Foundation for focusing on public education to eliminate stigmatization of COVID-19 victims.
