Hollard Ghana donated GHS100,000 to the COVID-19 Trust Fund established by the Government to urgently finance efforts to contain the spread of the virus. Hollard was one of the first businesses to respond to the President Akufo-Addo’s  call for private sector support. Hollard pitched this early response as part of its purpose to enable a better future for all and part of a culture of truly caring about the community in which Hollard Ghana operates.

Mrs. Cynthia Ofori-Dwumfuo, Hollard’s Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Affairs, said it was in the nature of Hollard to do well by doing good. Mrs. Ofori-Dwumfuo also credited the commitment of the company’s parent Group Hollard International to support the COVID-19 fight in those countries where it operates. She observed noted that we were in challenging times, but Hollard Ghana wanted to assure Ghanaians that the company had them covered by its mandate to do well by doing good.

The gift was received by Chief of Staff Mrs. Akosua Frema Opare who thanked Hollard Ghana, commending them for being one of the first to immediately respond to the government’s appeal for funds and resources to help combat the spread of COVID-19 and take care of the most vulnerable among us.

Witnesses at the giving event included Presidential Advisor on Health Dr. Anthony Nsiah Asare, Managing Director of  Hollard Insurance Daniel Boi Addo and Managing Director of Hollard Life Mr. Nashiru Iddrisu.
