Huawei Technologies Ghana donated therapy books, equipment and gift items worth GHS24,000 to the Speech Therapy Department of the children’s ward of Greater Accra Regional Hospital.

Twenty staff volunteers from Huawei Ghana spent time interacting with the children on Christmas eve and presented them with gifts.

PR Manager of Huawei Ghana Ms. Zhou Jiang Ling explained that the donation was part of Huawei’s commitment to give back to the communities in which it operates. Ms. Ling said Christmas was a time of sharing and Huawei found it rewarding to celebrate the with children on admission who could not celebrate the occasion with their families.

Ms. Ling noted that Huawei’s vision is to enrich life through communications is reflected in the company’s commercial and CSR initiatives. She explained that improving health and healthcare was central to the latter and hoped that the modest effort would be appreciated as the company looked forward to having bigger supportive collaborations.
