The Nkosuohene (Development Chief) of Lower Axim Traditional Area Nana Osei Nkwantabisa donated 48 hospital beds, X-ray Viewer, gloves, clothing, toys and children’s supplies, etc. to Axim Government Hospital and other health institutions in the Western Region.

The outreach was sponsored by Futuro Per Tutti, an Italian NGO and supported by the President and Vice-President of the Italian Business Association of Ghana (IBAG) namely Dr. Nii Armah Ollennu and Mr. Enrico Desimone. Mr. Enrico Biasutti of the Italian Embassy in Accra facilitated the outreach.

Nkosuohene Nana Osei Nkwantabisa thanked donors for supporting the health needs of his area. He appealed for more support to address current needs of the hospital, especially the ongoing renovation of its theatre, which was began by the traditional council with a seed of GHC50,000 raised during the annual Kundum Festival 2017.

Paramount Chief of Lower Axim Traditional Area Awulae Attibrukusu lll urged management and staff of the hospital to take good care of the equipment and lauded the Nkosuohene for his visionary initiatives. He commended donors for their selfless dedication in giving back to society and called on all to emulate the gesture by the Italian community.

Administrator of Axim Government Hospital Mr. Domie Godswill also thanked donors and Nana Osei Nkwantabisa for their kindness.
