Izwe Savings and Loans gave out 100,000 exercise books and other school supplies selected basic schools in twelve districts, including the Savelugu Municipality in the Northern Region where thirteen students benefited.
The outreach was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility that aims at increasing enrollment in basic schools.
The distribution was supervised directly by the Northern Ghana Area Manager of the company William M. Mahama with the assistance of staff of Izwe Savings and Loans.
Mr. Mahama encouraged beneficiaries to be punctual at school and cooperate with their teachers. He said the company will continue to support government’s efforts to make education affordable and accessible to all.
Management of the Savelugu Municipal Education Directorate commended Izwe Savings and Loans for the continuous support.
