Japan Motors Trading Company Ltd (JMTC) donated a Yamaha Outboard Motor, a Yamaha Generator and Yamaha Motorbikes to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) in support of the 35th National Farmers Day 2019.

Presenting the gift package, Assistant Managing Director of Japan Motors Mr. Abdul-Somad Alhassan Musah said the management of of Japan Motors were once again delighted to be associated with the annual National Farmers Day celebration. Mr. Musah noted that Japan Motors had been a consistent supporter of the celebration since its inception. He announced that, as a good corporate citizen, the company was looking to contribute its quota towards national development.

Mr. Alhassan Musah commended Government and the National Farmers Day Organizing Committee for the commitment over the years to annually recognize deserving farmers and hoped such an effort will help enhance agribusiness development.

Marketing Manager of Japan Motors Mrs. Harriet Esi Mensah explained that the business of agriculture can only be promoted when small scale agriculture is not overlooked. Mrs. Mensah said Japan Motors would do its part by consistently engaging MOFA with its quality Nissan, Foton and Yamaha products to help drive the course.

Mr. George Boahen Oduro, Deputy Minister of Agriculture in charge of Horticulture, received the package and commended Japan Motors for supporting the celebration. Speaking on the behalf of the National Farmers Day Organizing Committee, he assured the company that all donated resources would be given in prizes to deserving farmers to motivate farmers in the Ghana to produce more.
