Members of Katanga Hall (University Hall) of KNUST, donated GHC3,000 worth of food and essential supplies to the Kumasi Children’s Home. Hall members also gave undeclared cash to the Home.

The gift included ten bags of rice, a bag of sugar, five cartons of milk and assorted drinks, two gallons of oil, five packs of water and confectionaries. Katanga Alums supported the social outreach.

The outreach by Katanga Hall was to put smiles on the faces of the vulnerable children and ensure that they too could enjoy the Christmas festivities.

President of Katanga hall Mr. Kataba Mohammed described the outreach as part of the Hall’s community service commitment to the vulnerable and people in deprived communities and schools.

Mr. Kataba noted that showing brotherly love and affection was a core value the hall. He dispelled widely held misconceptions widely that Katanga Hall members were a violent and rampaging bunch.

Management of the Kumasi Children’s Home thanked the members for the kindness and called on other organizations and individuals to support the home.
