Lions Club Ghana District 418 donated GHS 25,000 worth of computers and school supplies to students of Nzulezo MA Basic School in Jomoro District of Ghana’s Western Region. The support package included computers, school uniforms, stationery, schools bags and hand sanitizers. The Club also donated a gift of grocery supplies to teachers at the school.

Mr. Stephen Akakpo, the immediate past President of Takoradi Oil City Lions Club and coordinator of the outreach project, explained that the initiative was base don an initial needs assessment by the club, which showed that teaching and learning at Nzulezo MA Basic School was imbedded by the lack of basic supplies. Lion Akakpo said the club was looking forward to further supporting the school upgrade its infrastructure.

“We have a long-term view of what we have done today, we want to have a relationship with them, the next project we are looking at is to help them construct their school structure.”

Chief of Nzulezo Nana Takrika VII received the gift package and expressed appreciation to the Lions Club Ghana District 418 for their thoughtful assistance. Headteacher of Nzulezo MA Basic School Mr. Evans Cudjoe joined in commending Lions Club Ghana District 418 for the kind support, noting that it would play an important role in addressing some of the challenges the school faced.
