The 1989 year group of the Labone Senior High School Old Students Association (LOSA) donated GH¢4,000 worth of supplies to La General Hospital and Assurance of Hope for the Needy Orphanage in Teshie. The gifts were made in commemoration of the group’s 30th anniversary of graduating from Labone Senior High School.

Each of thirty nursing mothers at La General Hospital received a package of diapers, wipes, laundry detergent, soap and bottled water. The group gave Assurance of Hope for the Needy Orphanage used clothing, rice, detergents, cooking oil, tomato paste, diapers, toys and undisclosed cash.

Rev. Yartey noted that the children deserve the best of care other children need to grow. He explained that he does not discriminate between the children in his care and his own biological children. Rather, he explained that he considered them all his children: they attend the same school as his own children and they eat the same food as everyone else in the family.

Rev. Yartey thanked the year group for the donation and for sharing a good time with the children on the occasion of their 30th anniversary of completing senior high.
