Mighty Reds Ghana, fans of Liverpool FC hed a social outreach on Valentine weekend to mobilize resources to support the Accra Children’s Hospital.

Fans held a health, fitness and networking walk dubbed #FortheChildren and climaxed it with a donation to the the hospital to demonstrate fans’ extraordinary love for children at the hospital.

Corporate support for the outreach was led by Hisense. Other contributors included One Ghana, Peak Milk, Cocoa Processing Company, Beautiful Beneath, Vigor Security Services and Walkers Club Ghana.

The Alliance of sponsors mobilized equipment and essential supplies worth GHC11,000 to support the effort. The gift package included a TV set, a fridge, kettles, 50 boxes of Awake mineral water, toys, cocoa products and milk.

The membership of Mighty Reds Ghana supplemented donated corporate resources with GHC6,000 cedis cash mobilized through a fundraiser.

Leading member of Mighty Reds Ghana Dr. Kwame Baah Nuakoh underlined the importance of showing charity even in the smallest, simplest ways. Dr. Nuakoh explained that giving was good thing, especially when it is directed towards young children. considering that their prayers go straight to heaven.

He expressed the belief that the charitable outreach of Mighty Reds Ghana would play a role in ensuring better odds for Liverpool FC’s successful title pursuit.
