Miss Ghana Foundation donated 400 pieces of face masks,  80 packs of Bel branded bottled water and beverages to health workers at the Ga West Municipal Hospital at Amasaman. The gift package was supported with the generous support of Lydia Seyram Alhassan, MP of Ayawaso West Wuogon. Miss Ghana Foundation described the assistance package as its widow’s mite to support frontline workers in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

In a donation statement, Miss Ghana 2019 Rebecca Kwabi and Head of Projects at Miss Ghana Foundation Mr. Isaac K.Y. Quainoo commended health workers for their sacrifices and assured them of the foundation’s strong support. Ms. Kwabi appealed to Ghanaians to help ease the pressure on our frontline workers by religiously practicing public health and safety advisories. She reminded Ghanaians to stay at home, frequently wash their hands, keep our homes and environment clean and practice social distancing.

Medical Superintendent of Ga West Municipal Hospital and Dr. Eric Sarpong Ntiamoah and Head of Nursing Mrs. Diana Ofori Larbi received the gift package and thanked Miss Ghana Foundation for the generous support.

The grand finale of the 2020 edition of Miss Ghana pageant, previously scheduled for May 2020, has been postponed until further notice because of the coronavirus pandemic. Ms. Inna Miriam Patty, CEO of Exclusive Events Ghana, organizers of the Miss Ghana pageant, said a new date will be communicated in due course.
