The Miss Ghana Foundation (MGF) in collaboration with National Blood Service Ghana held a blood donation event at the St. Barnabas Anglican Church at Osu in Accra.

This initiative mobilized 50 units of blood to augment stocks at the National Blood Service. Blood donation is a quarterly commitment that the Miss Ghana Foundation’s brand ambassadors undertake to give back society.

MGF Brand Ambassadors Ms. Rebecca Kwabi (Miss Ghana 2019), Ms. Deborah Opoku Sarfo (Miss Ghana 2019 runner-up) and Bright Ofori (Mr. Ghana 2019) participated in the blood donation exercise.

Congregants of the St. Barnabas Anglican Church also came in their numbers to voluntarily support the blood drive.

Miss Ghana 2019 and her runners-up appealed to individuals, corporate Ghana and institutions to support blood donation programs.

Project Coordinator at Miss Ghana Foundation Mr. Isaac Quainoo call for the voluntary blood donation to be part of our everyday culture. Mr. Quainoo said MGF would continue its advocacy for regular voluntary blood donation.

The blood drive was supported by the National Blood Service Ghana, Bel Aqua, Bel Beverages, Atinka Media Village, Nancy Foods and Cee Bless Prints.
