Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA) joined the national cause in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana when MOBA leadership, led by Ebusuapanyin Capt. Paul Forjoe, donated GHS200,000 to the COVID-19 National Trust Fund in Accra. The funds were mobilized from individual donations of alumni of Mfantispim School. The Trust Fund was set up by President Akuffo Addo to support governments efforts at fighting the pandemic and providing support for the socially vulnerable and individuals in need of assistance who are worst impacted by the pandemic.

This gift from MOBA was one of several forms of assistance provided by members of the MOBA alumni family in support of the national fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Chair of the Board of Trustees of the COVID-19 National Trust Fund and former Chief Justice of Ghana Justice Sophia Akuffo received the check from MOBA. She commended MOBA and its alumni members from their thoughtfulness and generosity. Justice Akuffo pledged to to ensure ensure the donated funds by MOBA and other donated resources from others were applied properly in accordance with the statutory mandate of the Trust Fund. Justice Akuffo explained that the Trust Fund has so far provided support for hospitals, health centers and testing centers. The Fund has also been supporting activities involved in the fight against the pandemic.
