MTN Ghana donated a package of nose masks, overalls, gloves, infra red thermometers, disinfectants and other PPE worth GHS5 Million to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital. At the giving ceremony, Mr. Prince Owusu Nyarko, Western and Central Regional Manager of MTN commended health workers across Ghana for their dedication to the fight against COVID-19 in Ghana .

Mr. Nyarko said MTN Ghana recognized that protecting healthcare workers was paramount in the pandemic, but that there were still lack of PPE in some of Ghana’s hospitals and health centers. He announced that MTN Foundation was delighted to intervene to provide the needed equipment to protect healthcare workers.

Dr. Eric Kofi Ngyedu, CEO of Cape Coast Teaching Hospital received the donated package and thanked MTN Ghana for the generous assistance. Dr. Nygedu observed that the pandemic had made it even the more necessary that hospital staff were adequately protected so they could confidently attend to patients and manage the disease in treatment centers.
