National Investment Bank (NIB) donated GH¢30,000 to cover the cost of surgery, physiotherapy and medical expenses of Patience Addo at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH).

Sixteen year-old Patience, a junior high grad who is now paralyzed, was diagnosed with spinal tumour condition and needed urgent corrective surgery to restore her health. She caught the attention of NIB through Global Outreach Consortium, an NGO that collaborates with partners to deliver advanced medical care to vulnerable people.

Head of Corporate Affairs Charles Wordey presented the cheque on behalf of the bank reiterated NIB’s resolve to continue providing support to the underprivileged and needy in the society in reflection of one of NIB’s cardinal values.

Mr. Wordey entreated customers of the bank to keep faith with NIB to enable it to reach out a lot more to the needy.

A delightful mother of Patience, Ms. Rose Biney received the cheque on behalf of her daughter and expressed great delight. She said hope was practically lost when almost everyone in the family were not able to help.
