Peewood Ltd and Tema Bonded Terminal donated 10 ventilators to support government’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Adu Arthur, a representative of both companies made presented the equipment to Senior Minister Mr. Yaw Osafo Marfo in Accra. Mr. Arthur described the gift as a contribution from Peewood and TBT in support of government’s efforts at managing the pandemic in Ghana.
Both corporate donors provided a list of preferred or target beneficiary hospital and health directorate, which included the following:
- GPHA International Maritime Hospital, Tema – 2 Ventilators
- Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital – 2 Ventilators
- Tema Government Hospital, Tema
- South Suntreso Government Hospital
- Sunyani Regional Hospital
- Ho Teaching Hospital
- Oda Government Hospital
- Yilo Krobo Municipal Health Directorate
Mr. Osafo Marfo commended Peewood Ltd and Tema Bonded Terminal for the timely support for the fight against COVID-19. He urged businesses in Ghana to keep up the support for fight against the pandemic. Mr. Marfo also appealed to the general public to cooperate with health officials by observing preventative measures, especially the wearing of nose masks and social distancing.
