Quantum Terminals donated 100 bags of rice, 20 boxes of canned fish and 10 boxes of sanitizers worth GHS16,500 to the Ellembelle Food Bank, which was established during the COVID-19 lockdown period and still continues to support the socially vulnerable, including seniors, in  the Ellembelle District of Ghana’s Western Region. The gift was made through Ellembelle District Assembly to support the District’s fight against COVID-19.

HR Manager of Quantum Terminals Ms. Anastasia Abban said the company was reaching out in times of great need. Ms. Abban noted that COVID-19 came in as a shock to the community and the country. She noted that Quantum Terminal was committed to supporting the communities within which the company operates, and to bettering the lives of residents.

District Chief Executive for Ellembelle Mr. Kwasi Bonzoh received the donated supplies on behalf of the Managing Committee of the Ellembelle Food Bank and thanked Quantum Terminals for assisting individuals who were negatively affected by the pandemic. Mr. Bonzoh described the assistance as a “very god gesture” that responded to the needs of communities. He said the District would act quickly to get the supplies to individuals who needed them the most in the District. Mr. Bonzoh conceded that while the assistance might not be enough to solve all the problems, it would help alleviate some of the suffering of society’s most vulnerable.
