RenWoman, a women empowerment initiative of Rendeavour, the developer of Appolonia City, reached out to street children and head porters (‘kayayei‘) in the stretch from Airport City to Accra Central. The RenWoman team distributed 300 packages of clothing and sanitary supplies for women and children and free meals.

The outreach was held on International Day of Charity, marked worldwide to to raise awareness about charity-related activities that help alleviate poverty.

Ms. Dansoaa Adotey, Chairperson of RenWoman Ghana and sales manager for Appolonia City, thanked all Appolonia City women, clients, staff and other philanthropic individuals who contributed clothing and grocery supplies to the cause. Ms. Adotey described the benevolent response as “touching.” Ms. Munira, a head porter who was a beneficiary, said she and other beneficiaries were pleasantly surprised and grateful.
