Students of Ridge Church School donated food and essential supplies to three institutions to climax the school’s Harvest and Outreach 2019. Beneficiaries included Children’s Department of Ridge hospital, Remar Ghana and Klicks Africa foundation.
The donated package included sanitary supplies, groceries, canned foods, bottled water and fruits, which were contributed by students. Students also donated cash to the three institutions to purchase specific needs.
Headmistress of Ridge Church School Nana Ama Acheampomaa said Ridge Church School was built on the Christian values of giving as taught by Christ. She noted that school has come to adopt the practice as an annual tradition based on the Biblical teaching that we never lack when we give.
At a church service held to climax the Harvest Program, Rev. Laud Gyampoh spoke on the topic ‘Givers Never Lack.’ Students, staff, parents and representatives of beneficiary institutions were present to express their gratitude to God for His love and mercies.
Speaking on behalf of all beneficiary institutions, Ms. Mary Kuffour of Klicks Africa Foundation thanked the Ridge Church School for the kind gesture and prayed for the Lord’s blessings for the institution.
The annual Harvest and Outreach program was instituted by the founders of the school to inculcate in students the practice of giving in support of the socially vulnerable.
