Rotary Club of Accra-Legon Rotary club refurbished and furnished the ICT lab for Aplaku M.A. 2 Basic School. The project, which was part of the club’s annual initiatives, provided the ICT lab with 33 desktop computers, a project, air conditioners and lab furniture.

The project cost the club GH¢85,000 for both the library and the IT lab, with the lab project alone accounting for almost GH¢65,000 of the total cost.

President of Rotary Club of Accra-Legon Ms. Valentina Kumadey (Rotarians) noted the headteacher of Aplaku M.A. Basic School had requested help from the club in a number of areas, including empty library and computer labs.

Ms. Kumadey acknowledged the support of project sponsors such as MTN Ghana (provided GH¢20,000) Transglobal Logistics, Corporate Investigation Bureau and some philanthropic individuals.

Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Ruby Mildred Dzantor expressed gratitude to members of Rotary Club of Accra-Legon. Mrs. Esther Batsa, an ICT teacher at the school was delighted that the resources provided would ensure that students had to computers so they can get practical experience in the use of computers.
