Students of Services Primary & Junior High School at Burma Camp donated rice, cooking oil, sugar, milk, hot chocolate, canned fish, soda, disinfectants and toiletries to the paediatric ward of the 37 Military Hospital.
Headmistress of the school Ms. Ernestina Nyarko said the donation was made as part of events marking the school’s 70th anniversary.
She said the students hoped to make the children at the ward happy and to wish them speedy recovery. Other staff of the school present at the presentation of the gift were Mr. Isaac Gyamerah, Mr. Enos Haibor, Ms. Mercy Afful and Miss Gloria Dodoo.
Commander of 37 Military Hospital Brig. Gen Michael Agyapong received the gift on behalf of the military high command. Witnesses included Deputy Matron of the hospital Col. Juliana Gyasi and Matron Col. Annie Djokoto. The officers thanked the students and staff and wished them God’s blessings.
